The five-piece spent the majority of 2020 writing and refining new material to record the following year. On October 1st, 2021, they released their second EP, RUN! RUN! RUN!. Brad Savage from Medina Weekly News and The Summit FM stated, "People who are not yet familiar with Lilieae's music can expect to see and hear dual-female fronted, rock-driven songs with plenty of melodies, harmonies and a hint of a 90s alternative revival vibe." In October of 2023, they released the four-track EP Pretend & Dare and went on to film their first music video for the track This Could Be So Sweet  at Lakewood's very own 5 O'Clock Lounge.

The beginning of 2024 came with a small lineup change when Kennedy parted with the group to pursue other endeavors. Long-time friend Griffin Pereksta stepped in to take the open guitar spot, and the band maintains their signature full sound and five-piece rock experience, releasing their first new-lineup single Down in 2025.

The band cites a wide range of rock genre influences including classic rock, 90s alternative, grunge, metal, and punk. LILIEAE's most notable performances include headlining a night of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's Summer Concert Series in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, playing Cleveland's Brite Winter Music Festival in 2022 and 2024, and performing at Toronto's annual music festival, NXNE in 2023. They play local shows regularly, continue to branch out into new cities, and are working toward releasing new material in 2026.
